It has been asked of me from time to time "Och, you haven't grown that awful beard again have you??", often by people that are actually looking at me at the time. To which I usually respond with "No. I've just been down on yer ma and the lad hasn't been round with the lawnmower this week!". Lolo, roffle, etc.
Regardless, in order that people should be kept bang up to date with the on/off status of the beard I have created the following device.
If there is enough demand I may follow this up with an rss feed, a Firefox plugin and a small hardware project.
