I'm not really much of a hat wearer. Maybe my thining hair will change this in time.
However pushed on the topic I would probably opt for a trilby (above), traditional working mans flatcap, deerstalker or some sort of fluffy dark thing with ears... if it was cold. Never a baseball cap. Baseball caps are the work of the debil. Baseball caps are associated with rednecks and spides/chavs/neds. Especially the Burbury baseball cap which is a crime against humanity for which I still hold out hope that justice will be done.
I took to wearing a bush hat for a while as a student when I was younger and more flamboyant. I think I grew out of it. Literally.
For now though I am mostly hatless, except for a little black wooly thing I wear on really cold evenings that makes me look like I'm out for a night of burglery.
